Here comes the VW Passat facelift and there is also a new engine variant. VW has a new 1.5-liter TSI petrol engine that replaces the old 1.4-liter TSI. The performance in the base version of this new 1.5-liter engine increases from 125 to 130bhp, and the upscale version will continue to produce 150bhp.
This engine gets a particle filter to meet the new particle limits for petrol engines. VW will also work on the battery capacity to extend the pure electric range of the Passat GTE (which is not targeted for Malaysia for now).
