Last weekend, Anehajit Kaur, 18, took a step forward towards her dream of being a Formula One race engineer as she enrolled for a Diploma in Motorsport Technology at Naza College of Technology and Business during its Open Day.
“Ever since I was younger, I’ve always been intrigued by the thrilling sounds that F1 race cars make as they speed around the race track and watching F1 races on TV gave me so much excitement. One day, I decided that instead of just watching them on TV, I wanted to be a part of the team behind the beautiful yet powerful and precise race cars,” said the Kuching-born girl who scored 8A’s in her Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).
“After seeing an advertisement on Facebook for the Naza College Open Day, I found out that they had just the right course for me and I quickly head over to enroll. I can’t wait for the semester to start so I can truly feel like I am closer towards my dream of being a F1 race engineer,” Anehajit added.
“Formula One is no longer just a “man’s world” as more females are taking up an interest in the world of motorsports. Here at Naza College of Technology, we welcome all students with a drive in the automotive industry to help them achieve their dreams,” said Dr Jagdeep Jassel, CEO, Naza College of Technology and Business.
