Alfa Romeo has announced the Stelvio Quadrifoglio’s price up to USD81,590. So why is it so expensive? Well, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio is equipped with the exclusive aluminium 2.9-litre V6 Bi-Turbo petrol engine, developed with inputs and engineering know-how from supercar company, Ferrari.
It delivers maximum power of 510hp at 6,500rpm and generates a maximum torque of 600Nm from 2,500 to 5,000rpm and is teamed with the specifically calibrated 8-speed automatic transmission, that shifts gear in just 150-milliseconds in ‘Race’ mode. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio can accelerate from zero to 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds, and reach a best-in-class top speed of 290km/h.
The Stelvio Quadrifoglio is also the “fastest SUV around the circuit”, having clocked the new record for its class on the iconic Nürburgring: 7 minutes 51.7 seconds.
“We specifically crafted the Stelvio Quadrifoglio to truly set itself apart among high-performance vehicles and it does not disappoint – whether being driven on the Nürburgring or on roads across North America,” said Tim Kuniskis, Head of Alfa Romeo. Equipped with the most powerful Alfa Romeo engine ever and our advanced Q4 all-wheel-drive system, the Stelvio Quadrifoglio roars to life with an exhilarating driving experience.”
