In conjunction with this upcoming Chinese New Year, Puspakom is offering #drivesafenoregrets free Voluntary Vehicle Inspection for private vehicle owners from 5 to 15 February 2018, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at all inspection centres nationwide; except Shah Alam, Taman Bukit Maluri, Mak Mandin, Kota Bharu, Langkawi, Labuan dan Lahad Datu.
Puspakom will also deploy its mobile inspection unit at Tesco Shah Alam, Seksyen 13 on 4 February and Plaza Tol Alam Impian on 11 February from 8.00am to 5.00pm respectively to offer the Free Voluntary Vehicle Inspection to the public.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of Puspakom, Mohammed Shukor Ismail, the #drivesafenoregrets free Voluntary Vehicle Inspection campaign is a part of the company‟s corporate responsibility initiatives. The campaign aims to create public awareness on the importance of vehicle safety which contributes to road safety, especially during festive seasons where many will be travelling on the road.
“Over the years, this initiative has continuously received positive response from private vehicle owners. We are glad that each time we offer free inspections, thousands of car owners take the opportunity to get their cars checked at Puspakom. In the past 5 years, more than 15,000 vehicles have undertaken the Free Voluntary Vehicle Inspection service at Puspaakom,” Shukor said.
“Every driver plays an important role when it comes to road safety; and it should start with ensuring the safety and roadworthiness of their vehicles. Only if we are willing to shoulder this responsibility only then we can help safeguard the safety of every road user and reduce accident rates which are especially high during the festive seasons,” he added.
Customers of the Voluntary Vehicle Inspection are also entitled to participate in the “Snap & Win” Facebook contest, where they need to private message their inspection photos to Pupakom’s official Facebook page. The most creative photo with the most ‘likes’ could win attractive prizes.
Customers who walk in for the Voluntary Vehicle Inspection should note that no appointments or documents are required. Inspection of the Voluntary Vehicle Inspection includes smoke emissions, suspension, side-slip, above and below carriage, brake and tinted glass. Puspakom will then issue an inspection report that will provide the vehicle owner with information on the condition of the vehicle, which will allow for an effective consultation for appropriate rectification, maintenance or repairs.
