Honda has been having non stop sales success with their compact crossover since its launch day. Honda Malaysia risked launching the HR-V to a market that was not yet ready for small crossovers. The gamble paid off handsomely, however now a fresh look and features is needed to keep buyers keen as Toyota in Malaysia is about to launch their C-HR which knocks directly at the HR-V’s sales success.
The possible new updates for the refreshed HR-V will likely include a range of small cosmetic changes. You can expect a revised front bumper and grille, new daytime light features and maybe even some interior design changes.
What buyers must realize is that there will not be a new engine option. The current HR-V is sold with all variants carrying a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine with a CVT (continuously variable transmission) automatic gearbox driving the front wheels.
Inside the cabin you could be seeing new smart tech features for the revised HR-V like a smartphone app-based system. Expect Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for the younger buyers.
