Continental Tyre Malaysia has unveiled the new MaxContact MC6 tyre, which is the company’s third Generation 6 product after the UltraContact UC6 and ComfortContact CC6.
Recalibrated into an even sportier tyre over the predecessor MC5, the MC6 is said to deliver a significant improvement in wet and dry handling, wet braking as well as mileage performance thanks to German technology and Continental’s expertise.
Making all that possible is the MC6’s multifunctional tread design, which enhances grip while reducing braking distances in wet and dry conditions. The tyre is also equipped with stabiliser bars that fix and stabilise the outside shoulder blocks to form one stable unit.
The MC6 uses adhesive polymers within its compound that enable maximum grip and safety due to adaptation to various road surfaces – down to the nanometer scale.
At hard cornering and high speed, the stiffness of the Xtreme-Force ply material reduces the tyre flexion and provides maximum control and better handling. At lower speed the adaptive ply material retains its flexibility to ensure a comfortable ride.
For added comfort, the MC6 also comes with a feature called Noise Breaker 2.0, which breaks down the noise waves that flow through the groove.
Produced at the Continental’s state-of-the-art plant in Alor Setar, Kedah, the MC6 is available in various sizes ranging from 16 to 20 inches, with prices yet to be announced.
