UMW Toyota Motor is showing five Toyota models (including two concept vehicles) and four Lexus models which includes the Lexus F Sport Roadbike at KLIMS 2013. Also included is the NS4 Plug-in Hybrid and the Toyota Fun-Vii (short for Fun Vehicle interactive internet).
Among its many features, the NS4 boasts outstandingly with environment performance, advanced safety such as the Pre-collision system (PCS) with Collision-avoidance assist and a forward-looking design that connects technology with people, and subsequently, people with society at large.
It makes use of Toyota’s Plug-In technology which represents the synergistic infusion between hybrid and electric vehicles. The showcase of the NS4 Plug-in Hybrid represents Toyota’s leverage on its research and development to portray what eco-friendly vehicles would be like in the not too distant future.
The Fun-Vii concept, on the other hand, is a concept vehicle that looks towards a future where people, society and cars are linked together. Amongst its nifty features, the Fun-Vii includes an Augmented Reality (AR) navigation system and the ability to charge itself wirelessly and change its body colour with a smartphone.
Other Toyota models on display will include the Toyota Vios TRD Sportivo, the Toyota Previa and the Malaysian concept car of Toyota Camry Hybrid, which Malaysians recently got to see for the first time at the recent Greentech and Eco Products & Exhibition and Conference Malaysia (IGEM 2013).
The Toyota Camry Hybrid is a 2.5L Full Hybrid vehicle, powered by Toyota’s renowned Hybrid Synergy Drive system. UMW Toyota Motor plans to introduce the mass production car to the Malaysian market as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) model which will allow for competitive pricing of the hybrid in this country.
