One of the unique styling features on the custom Ducati is the relocation of the Scrambler’s stock LCD instrument cluster, which is now found on top of the fuel tank. While the engine has been kept bone stock, Winston has added a Sprint Filter performance air filter which would help in bettering the air flow going to the engine.
Taiwanese atelier ROUGH CRAFTS, who have previously made incredible custom machines such as the YAMAHA’S FIRST YARD BUILT MOTORCYCLE FOR 2017 and the gorgeous “BAVARIAN FISTFIGHTER” BMW R NINET. This time around, the workshop’s frontman Winston Yeh’s received a request to build a custom bike for a friend who wanted a racy-looking machine out of his 2016 Ducati Scrambler Icon. The result is the stunning ‘Jab Launcher’, which continues the tradition of Rough Craft’s dark-themed custom motorcycles.
For the build, Winston used the single sided swingarm from a Ducati Monster 1100 which was then paired with a custom monoshock from Gear Racing. The front end comes from a Ducati 1199 Panigale which has been blacked out to match the overall dark theme of the Ducati Scrambler. Winston then added a pair of BST wheels that are lighter than the stock ones making the bike sharper to handle, while adding Beringer brakes both front and rear to give the custom build more aggressive braking.
This Ducati Scrambler by Rough Crafts is a perfect example of achieving a drastically different looking motorcycle without cutting or chopping off the stock motorcycle’s frame. And while the forks and the swingarm of the finished product are altered, the motorcycle retains complete ability to be reverted back to stock anytime if necessary.
