Yes it is confirmed and the initial reports of the Nikon D850 has it is sounding more and more like a baby Nikon D5.
The D850 will arrive as a high-resolution and high-speed DSLR worthy of sports/motorsports/car enthusiast photographers. It will be a fitted with a 46-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and have a speedy 10fps for continuous shooting.
For sure there will be an improved ISO performance, a revamped SnapBridge, a tilting LCD screen, dual memory card slots (one SD and one XQD), back illuminated buttons, a joystick selector, 8K timelapse with built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. More to be shared soon.
