Toyota planning Celica rebirth

The new 2018 Toyota Celica will have completely different looks from its predecessor, with design inspired by the current popular Toyota 86. Still no firm images have surfaced on its final design and we can just guess it will take inspiration from on these designs presented here.

Lighter materials that will be employed for its production will guarantee its enhanced performance, fuel economy and smooth handling.

This 2018 Toyota Celica will be powered by the 2.0-liter engine from the Lexus NX 200t. The 4-cylinder turbocharged engine reaches 258 horsepower, and could also have a Hybrid version for better fuel economy and overall performance of the car. The vehicle will be available to purchase both with a manual and 6-speed automatic CVT transmission with paddle shifters on steering wheel.

This is probably why the current Toyota GT86 is not carrying a turbocharged engine, to make way for its bigger sibling, the Celica and its turbocharged engine.

The Celica will be also geared with a set of integrated fog lights, HID reflector-beam headlights with automatic high beam and standard LED daytime running lights. To increase its engine breathing capacity, the hood will have an upgraded air-intake. Further, the rear will be also armed a large spoiler and LED taillights.
