Porsche has just released a few teaser pictures of the upcoming Macan compact luxury SUV. This second SUV in the Porsche product lineup will be officially unveiled this November at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
According to Porsche, the Macan SUV will come with a revised Porsche DNA design but it borrows a series of styling cues from the big-brother Cayenne. From the pictures released by Porsche we see an aggressive front fascia, a sloping roofline and LED infused headlights. At the back we see a revised bumper design and a tailgate mounted spoiler. From the pictures it looks like a shrunken Cayenne SUV.
Under the hood of the Porsche Macan SUV, the customers will get two petrol units one diesel engine. We are talking about a twin-turbo 3.0 liter V6, a twin-turbo 3.6 liter V6 that can offer 395 horsepower and 550 Nm of peak torque. The diesel engine will be the popular 3.0 liter V6 unit with 254 horsepower. All the engines will be connected to a manual 6-speed or Porsche’s PDK transmission which sends the power to the ground via its rear axle or an all wheel drive system. Porsche says that the 2014 Macan will enter production in December and deliveries will start in early 2014.
