Sime Darby Auto Performance (SDAP) has introduced the new Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition, which brings with it sporty appearance combined with a host of features that now come as standard.
For example, the large 20-inch wheels in RS Spyder design are housed in wider wheel arches. The interior comes with leather sport seats with electric eight-way adjustment, Alcantara centre panels, Porsche crest on all head rests, analogue clock as well as stainless steel door sills with “Platinum Edition” lettering.
Standard equipment in the Cayenne Platinum Edition includes Bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), Power Steering Plus and ParkAssist in the front and back. The latter system not only uses an audible beep to indicate the distance to objects or other cars in front of and behind the vehicle; it also graphically depicts the direct surroundings on the central display.
A non-metallic black and white finish is standard, with Deep Black, Purpurite, Mahogany, Carrera White or Rhodium Silver metallic paints available as an option. The broadened wheel arches also come in the chosen colour scheme. The exclusive appearance is rounded out by a high-gloss exterior package.
As an additional high-end standard feature, the Cayenne Platinum Edition comes with the latest generation Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system that includes online navigation, and the Connect Plus module.
Like the base Cayenne, the Cayenne Platinum Edition is powered by a 3.6-litre V6 engine with an output of 300 hp at 6,300 rpm. The Tiptronic S gearbox enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds (7.6 with the Sport Chrono package) and reach a top speed of 230 km/h. It consumes 9.2 litres of fuel every 100 km, depending on the tyres fitted.
Retail base price for the Cayenne Platinum Edition starts from RM 698,000 with a four-year warranty and free maintenance package. The stated price includes all applicable duties, except registration fee, road tax and insurance.
