In this year’s edition of the Dakar rally which has just started there is the participation of nearly 500 drivers/riders/athletes from 59 countries. On the list we find 145 motorcycles, 79 cars, 37 quads and 50 trucks. In addition, for the first time the rally will start with eight UTV’s (small 4×4 vehicles).
In this year’s edition of the Dakar, there is also no shortage of women. On motorcycles will be: Laia Sainz, Anastasiya Nifontov and Rosa Romero Font (KTM 450). ATV’s will have Camelia Liparoti (Yamaha YFM 700R). Mitsubishi will have driver, Cristina Gutierrez Herrero, and Nissan Frontier will have Maria Del Huerto Mattar Smith.
