Fuji Heavy Industries has been selling this CROSSOVER 7 in Japan with some success and we wonder why Motor Image has not introduced this 7-seater to Malaysia and the region. The interior and exterior that incorporates elements of fashion and authentic SUV, all-weather AWD performance that combines the 7-seater ability to achieve an active lifestyle.
The CROSSOVER 7 is really more of a tall-roofed, seven-seat station wagon than a traditional SUV. This version features a taller ride height and external body cladding, making it a big sibling to the Outback and XV Crosstrek. Subaru is very good at building cars that like to pretend they’re SUVs.
Under the hood sits a 2.5-liter boxer-four engine, mated to a continuously variable transmission. It sends 171 horsepower to all four wheels, as is the Subaru way. A vehicle this big could probably use a bit more power, but it’s hard to deny the utility offered by the CROOSSVER’s seven-seat, tall-wagon packaging. Compared to the previous Exiga, this new Exiga Crossover 7 features an extra 20 millimeters of ground clearance, hence the addition of “Crossover” in its title. The vehicle also gets 17-inch wheels and chunky wheel arches similar to those fitted to the Outback.
Subaru parent Fuji Heavy Industries has been selling this CROSSVER 7 only in Japan, and nowhere else. Despite its seven-seat layout, this Subaru is probably too small to serve as a direct replacement for the Tribeca anyway. This replacement crossover is much larger than even the outgoing Tribeca.
