Audi Q7 Now Available in 2.0 TFSI quattro Form

Almost one year after the launch of the Audi Q7 3.0 TFSI with a supercharged V6 petrol engine, comes the introduction of the Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro, combining a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, in-line petrol engine with the quattro permanent all-wheel drive available on its larger-engined stablemate.

On the outside, the Audi Q7 2.0 quattro is identical with the 3-litre variant with the exception of having 19” 5 V-spoke design alloy wheels, instead of 20” cast aluminium wheels. Showcasing the refined Audi Q design language that is sculpted and muscular, the front of the vehicle is especially eye-catching with a bold Singleframe grille as well as LED headlights and signature LED daytime running lights forming a distinctive double arrow pattern.

Powering the Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro is a 2.0 litre TFSI engine that incorporates a 4-cylinder in-line petrol engine with direct fuel injection and exhaust gas turbocharging as well as an 8-speed tiptronic transmission that develops a maximum output of 252 hp and a maximum torque of 370 Nm between a range of 1,600 and 4,500 rpm. With this configuration, the Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro accelerates from 0-100km/h in just 7.1 seconds, a full 0.8 seconds faster than the previous generation’s 3.0 TFSI variant of the Audi Q7. Despite its sporty capabilities, the new Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro has a frugal fuel consumption rating of just 7.4l/100 km and a CO2 emissions rating of just 172 g/km.

The agile handling dynamics and fuel-sipping characteristics of the Audi Q7 2.0 TFSI are especially remarkable for a large premium SUV with the largest interior in its class and are as a result of a weight reduction of approximately 325 kilogrammes from the previous generation. This benefit comes from courtesy of Audi’s strict adherence to the principle of lightweight construction including the usage of intelligent multi-material design and the strategic deployment of aluminium components.

In addition to the standard Auto, Dynamic, Efficiency, Comfort and Individual settings, the Audi drive select in the Q7 2.0 TFSI quattro also features an Allroad mode which prepares the vehicle for mixed terrain by lifting the ride height by 25 mm and Lift/Offroad mode which prepares the SUV to go far off the beaten track by raising the right height to the maximum of 60 mm. On the other end of the spectrum, there is a convenient loading mode, which lowers the rear axle by 45 mm in order to increase accessibility to the luggage compartment coming in handy whatever you’re loading, be it groceries or furniture.
