Apart from solid combination of a WTCC-honed chassis and a 1.8-litre ECOTEC engine, the Chevrolet Cruze Sport has plenty more to offer. Let’s take a look.
In terms of infotainment, the sedan features six speakers and a new integrated AVN system that provides rear view camera, GPS navigation, AM/FM radio, Bluetooth audio streaming, smartphone integration, as well as DVD player, all of which can be accessed through a seven-inch, high-definition touch display located in the middle of the centre console.
Meanwhile, USB, iPod and AUX ports are provided in the armrest storage compartment in the centre console for easy access. The illumination of the instrument panel where the speedo and odometers are can also be set via a button located near the headlight switch.
Other features included for better driving experience include Passive Entry Push Start button, cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, intermittent variable wiper, wiper system moisture sensitive, electronic climate control, and map lights, among others.
As for performance and safety, the Cruze boasts Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control (TC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD). ESP detects loss of steering control and automatically applies brake on individual wheels, while TC minimizes slippage during acceleration by adjusting driveforce and brakeforce accordingly.
The sedan also comes with two airbags (driver and front passenger), immobilizer system, reverse sensor and anti-pinch power window on the driver’s side.
