The Mercedes G500 4×4² is one the most noticeable vehicles on the roads, even in its factory-standard version. The wide, flared wheel arches and imposing height of this portentous off-roader will easily put other more watered-down SUVs in their place. It was the ideal starting point for MANSORY, the car modifier and carbon fibre specialist, to create an incomparable G-Class for their exclusive clientèle. Abundant carbon, a top of the line interior and a substantial increase in performance makes MANSORY’s 4×4² a striking off- and on-roader for discerning car enthusiasts.
Carbon fibre as far as the eye can see: a new front spoiler with prominent LED headlights and new hood made from visible carbon fibre shape the nose of the MANSORY 4×4².
The flanks are adorned with air intakes on the front wheel arches, mirror housings, handles and trim, which are also manufactured from visible carbon fibre. Even from a bird’s eye view there is carbon aplenty on the roof and roof spoiler. The rear apron and panels have been redesigned to accommodate lighting units as the perfect way to round off the carbon cladding.
But it was not just the bodywork which MANSORY has overhauled: installing the new MANSORY Powerbox combined with a sport exhaust system has given this 4×4² an extra whack in the form of 47 kW (63 PS) as well as 100 Nm increase in torque. In the interior, MANSORY have created a command and control centre which perfectly combines functionality and comfort. The sports steering wheel designed especially for the 4×4² features a carbon inlay and the aluminium pedals guarantee full control over the vehicle. At the same time, the interior oozes pure luxury – almost all the interior furnishing components have been masterfully created by hand from leather and cutting edge carbon fabric. The exclusive interior is topped off by logos, decorative stitching and beading to match the colour of the vehicle.
A nifty feature of the MANSORY enhancements is a step which automatically extends to help you climb into the cockpit, or as it is endearingly referred to by the MANSORY team – the ‘stairway to heaven’.
