After enduring over 11 hours of endurance racing, all remaining teams are now focusing on making the final charge towards the chequered flag. As the race enters its final hour, Clearwater Racing remains in the lead with Ferrari 458 Italia GT3, followed by the Lamborghini LP560-4 of Roger Lago Racing and AF Corse (Ferrari 458 Italia GT3) in third.
The competition is certainly heating up in the battle for third spot with Naza Nexus Racing (Ferrari 458 Italia GT3) and LKM Racing (Porsche GT3R) hot on the tail of AF Corse by just a single lap. On the home front, it was a bad day at the office for MMER 2013 favourites as well as defending champions Petronas Syntium Racing as both Mercedes SLS AMG GT3s were retired due to mechanical failures.
As teams work on their final pit stops, and work on their final run towards the finish, the leader boards are changing lap by lap. It remains to be seen if the front and consistent runners will ultimately produce enough to claim the title of MMER 2013 Champions.
