The free 50-point safety check for Perodua vehicles – the Tweckbot – is back for its sixth year to give peace of mind for its customers, especially those making a long trip after celebrating this Chinese New Year with family and loved ones at their respective hometowns.
“We hope our customers would take advantage of our Tweckbot programme in ensuring their vehicle’s roadworthiness before leaving their respective hometowns,” Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Datuk (Dr) Aminar Rashid Salleh said.
Aminar said that for this post-Chinese New Year check, the Perodua Tweckbot will be stationed at the Giant Muar Mall, Johor from the 19th to the 21st February 2016.
Each 50-point inspection will take between 10 and 15 minutes to complete. Perodua also had a pre-Chinese New Year Twecbot check at the Giant Subang Jaya Mall between 10am and 6pm, between 29th and 31st January 2016 which saw 123 Perodua vehicles inspected.
“This programme is our continued commitment towards giving our customers peace of mind by offering quality workmanship in all our products and services. We encourage our customers to follow our Facebook and twitter account to be alerted on the time and location of this convenience because here at Perodua – You Matter Most,” Aminar said.
The 50-points safety check includes an engine check, transmission check, coolant system (include coolant level as well as fan and temperature), brake system check (include brake fluid and brake pad wear), power steering system check, clutch system check, tyre check, suspension system check, electrical system check (include battery, lights and wiper checks) and engine diagnosis.
A 20% discount for parts and accessories will be given to all those vehicles that return to our service branches and dealers. (Terms and conditions apply)
The Tweckbot was originally an initiative by Perodua to engage its customers via social media namely Facebook and twitter back in 2011. However, the platform expanded to include official media outlets for greater reach.
However, the Tweckbot team ONLY carries out vehicle inspection, after which its team members would offer advice if the vehicle needs to be serviced or is due for repairs.
“We wish our Chinese friends excellent health, great prosperity as well as a safe and smooth drive this Chinese New Year – Gong Xi Fa Chai,” Aminar said.
