As we mentioned in our previous post, the Dakar rally was to continue following the MINI X-Raid accident. Unfortunately the situation has changed quite radically as inclement weather began to set in. The schedule will continue as initially planned, but all the competitors will be convoying to Villa Carlos Paz untimed- and the rally will begin timing with the second stage. The initial 227 to 258 kilometre section will not be recorded.
