ContiComfortContact CC5 replaces the old ContiComfortContact CC1

Continental Sime Tyre (CST) introduces an all new passenger car tyre for the mid class Asian car owner Carrying the name, ContiComfortContact CC5 this all new silica based low rolling resistance tyre has been introduced to replace the old ContiComfortContact CC1. Using its German parent technology and local road and driving conditions research, this is the first ever tyre that is engineered specifically to cater for the Asian motorists.

The CC5 has been designed to lower the noise to amplify motorists’ driving pleasure through the ‘noise breaker’ from Continental’s Silent Tread Pattern Groove Technology whereby it breaks air-waves in the longitudinal grooves thus reducing noise without compromising other performances. The V-shaped sipes inner ribs on the tyre enable the smooth rolling throughout the tyre circumferential thus having an optimum driving comfort that is coupled with optimum safety performance. The advanced silica compound technology minimizes rolling resistance forces for better fuel efficiency and also lowers CO2 emissions.

The tyre is currently produced at CST plant in Alor Star, Kedah and supplied to the region. Already delivered to several OE clients in Malaysia the CC5 has a possible 50-60,000 kilometer life expectancy under normal usage. Prices for the 31 available sizes remain competitive with only a 10% increase from the CC1. We will bring a full test report on the CC5 after out test is conducted.
