Let me share with you what i do when I want to wash any of my cars. After driving or after it has been parked in direct sunlight, allow the car to cool down. Heat speeds the drying of soap and water, making washing more difficult and increases the chances that spots or deposits will form.
Best time for a car wash is in the late evening after 7.00pm or early morning before 7.00am. Always start at the top of the car, and then work your way around the car from top to bottom. Don’t use household cleaning agents like hand soap and dish washing detergent on car paint. These will strip off the protective wax on your surface. Always use proper car wash soap.
You can find many for sale in Hypermarkets and some high-end Hardware shops. Go for established brands. Use two buckets – one for shampoo solution and the other to clean and rinse the sponge. This is to keep dirt from getting mixed up with the shampoo solution. Rinse the car as thoroughly as you can. Don’t throw dirty water over the top. Always use fresh water, preferably from a hose. Do not continue using a sponge that has dropped on the ground without thoroughly rinsing it out. The dropped sponge can pick up dirt particles that can scratch the paint. Rinse the sponge often. Remember to start from the top always. This ensures that you have plenty of time to rinse before the soap dries. When rinsing, use a hose without a nozzle and let the water flow over the car from top to bottom. Make sure you clean your wheels after you’ve washed the rest of your car using a different sponge. The dirt that is lodged in wheels can contain small stones and if you wash your wheels and then the bodywork, you may end up scratching the paintwork, which will cost you money to repair. Now you don’t need to go to the gym and you save money from the car wash that anyway does not do a job netter than you.
The above is the wrong place to wash your car. Below, can still be considered.
