The Volvo UK office is showing off the “sportiest XC90 yet” with a regular red finish. It rides on 20-inch diamond-cut alloys and has received a glossy black mesh for the front grille together with silver side mirror caps to contrast the body.
The list of standard equipment is quite generous as all cars get tinted rear windows, 12.3-inch active TFT driver’s information display, leather/nubuck sports seats, and a steering wheel wrapped in leather.
Buyers will also be able to enjoy the powered front seats with memory function, upgraded interior lighting, sports pedals, along with a black headliner, and a bespoke remote key fob finished in leather.
All these goodies are on top of the XC90 Momentum that gets standard LED headlights, power-operated tailgate, two-zone automatic climate control system, and a 9-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system.
As you would expect from a Volvo, it comes with a plethora of safety & assistance systems like lane departure warning, front collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, and a full arsenal of airbags. An optional air suspension can be added to the list of equipment for those in need of a silky smooth ride.
The XC90 R-Design can be had with the D5 diesel, T6 Drive-E, and with the beefier T8 Twin Engine hybrid setup and deliveries should kick off early next year but will we get it in Malaysia is still left questionable.
