Can 3 former executives of an AFTA brand car company do this and get away with it? I think not! The executives team of New Motor Advisors LLC consists of David Stenson, founder and president and former Hummer chief technical officer; William Shikany, vice president of operations and former director of Hummer engineering operations; and Ronald Yuille, vice president of powertrain engineering for GM’s international operations.
When GM FAILED to strike a deal with China-based Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machinery Co. to sell its Hummer brand last year, Stenson, Shikany and Yuille left GM, either on severance or retirement.
“Working on the deal to spin off Hummer made me very interested in the notion of working on a startup,” Stenson said. “If I couldn’t do that with Hummer as a stand-alone, I want to help craft products for smaller companies trying to make it in the automotive industry that maybe needs certain expertise.” What expertise is this fellow talking about? The firm will provide product development leadership, with an expert team of independent experts to draw from, he said. Your company failed….what nonsense is this? “We bring a collection of people together to engage as a team, to offer higher capacity and match the people with the skills they need in the Detroit infrastructure, so companies don’t have to piece it all together, one person at a time,” Stenson said. This is what caused the failure of your comp0any to name a small beneficiary! He also expects to support suppliers with product development, merger and acquisition firms with due diligence and fleet owners with technology evaluation. There was no technology to start with? Just loads of brawn!
