Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM) today announced that it is collaborating with ACCMS Warranty Services Sdn Bhd (ACCMS) to offer its members and the general public an extended auto warranty coverage in Malaysia targeting mainly registered vehicles on the road. The AAM Guard Extended Auto Warranty is to provide car owners with peace of mind when it comes to unexpected repair cost for major auto components breakdown as it covers beyond their standard car manufacturer’s warranty period.
The AAM Guard Extended Auto Warranty coverage is the first of its kind offered in Malaysia that combines the expertise of AAM, the most reputable road assistance service provider in the country with ACCMS, with it’s extensive experience designing warranty programmes in the industry. Primarily targeted towards existing AAM members, eligibility for this warranty are for vehicles not more than seven years old with a mileage of less than 120,000kms. Non-AAM members who like to purchase the extended auto warranty coverage will automatically be given a free one year AAM membership.
The extended warranty is for a one year period or for mileage of 25,000kms, whichever comes first. During the warranty period, major components such as the engine, transmission and gear box, steering mechanism, traction control systems, engine ECU and ECM, starter, alternator, fuel pumps and injectors as well as the associated labor cost for the replacement or repair of these parts are covered, subject to terms and conditions.
Interested applicants for the AAM Guard Extended Auto Warranty coverage can sign up at any AAM branches nationwide. They can also visit AAM‘s booth at the NST MAI (Malaysian Automotive Institute) ASEAN Auto Show 2015 that will be held from Thursday the 12th until Sunday the 15th of November 2015 at The Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre.
