Daihatsu Motor Corporation put the new Copen Cero. The convertible kei-car retains its two-seater configuration and is powered by a 658cc DOHC engine with 3 cylinders and 12 Valves generating 64PS at 6400RPM and 92Nm of torque at just 3200RPM.
Power is sent to the front wheels via a CVT gearbox. Priced at 1,852,200 Yen, the Cero is also offered with a 5-speed manual option, which oddly enough is slightly more expensive at 1,873,800 Yen. The unit on display had an interior finished in beige and dark plastics and featured a relatively large LCD screen for infotainment as well as a unique 3 vent air conditioner system despite having room for 2.
Weighing just 870Kg and measuring 3395mmX1475mmX1280mm, the Copen Cero looks to be a nice little addition to the Daihatsu lineup. Stay tuned for our tour of the Daihatsu Copen factory on Friday for more details.
