Owners of Bentley vehicles need to take a trip to their Bentley dealership to have a potentially serious issue with a battery cable attended to. Affecting Bentley Continental GT, GTC and Flying Spur models, the Bentley Battery Cable Recall is of importance as the 12V battery cable has a bolted connection where it passes through the front bulkhead on the right hand side.
There is a possibility that this connection may be loose on a small number of vehicles. In most instances, the customer is unable to start the engine. However, in very rare cases, if the battery is significantly discharged and the vehicle is being operated under increased electrical load, a loose electrical connection can overheat whilst the vehicle is in use.
