Mazda has just revealed photos and specs of its new 2012 CX-5 Crossover and announced that the new vehicle will make its official debut on September 13, at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. As you can see from the photos, the new 2012 Mazda CX-5 adopts the new design theme: ‘KODO – Soul of Motion’.
As expected, the new car will hit the global markets from early 2012 and will include the all-new Mazda petrol engines as well as a new automatic transmission. The CX-5 will carry Mazda’s new SKYACTIV-G 2.0 petrol engine as well as the SKYACTIV-D 2.2 diesel engine (this won’t be introduced in our region), which will be available in Standard Power and High Power versions. Immediate rivals will be the soon to be launched Nissan JUKE and the Mitsubishi ASX.
