Lexus Malaysia strengthened its model line-up today with the introduction of the updated Lexus ES. Taunted as one of the most desirable Lexus models with its elegant styling, spaciousness and segment leading luxury, the Lexus ES has enjoyed astounding success since its introduction in 2013.
The new Lexus ES is set to continue its success story with a number of key updates without losing its most important feature of all – peerless luxury. The biggest update to the new ES is on the exterior of the car where a new, bolder rendition of the trademark Lexus spindle grille and new LED headlamps differentiates the new car from the old.
To meet the high standards of the Malaysian market, Lexus Malaysia is offering three variants of the new ES. They are the; ES250 Premium, ES250 Luxury and the technologically advanced ES 300h, that is powered by the Lexus Hybrid Drive System, which now comes with an 8 year hybrid battery warranty for added peace of mind.
Among the improvements besides the new front outlook are more safety features such as, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Hill Start Assist.
The interior of the new ES has also been upgraded to highlight the image of quality and elegance. The beautiful Birdseye Maple Wood trim is now standard for all variants, and brings out the luxurious and high quality feel of the Lexus ES.
Speaking at the launch of the new Lexus ES, Datuk Ismet Suki, President of UMW Toyota Motor said, “We are confident that the new Lexus ES will appeal to an even wider audience than before. Since its launch globally, the new ES has created waves in many countries with very encouraging response. It is by that fact that I say the new ES will be very well received here.”
“Lexus Malaysia has already sold more than 1000 vehicles as of July 2015, and this has put us in the top three ranking in the local Luxury Vehicle sales segment.” he said.
”Order taking for the new Lexus ES began in late July 2015 and more than 100 units orders have been received to date with the Lexus ES 250 Luxury variant being the most popular model. We target to sell 750 units of the ES by the end of this year and are confident of meeting our 2015 Lexus sales target of 2,200 units.” added Datuk Ismet.
