Icona, an Italian supercar company based in China will be unveiling a new crazy fast hypercar at the upcoming Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. It’s called the Vulcano Titanium, and although it was first revealed in 2013 as a hybrid, this re-introduction sees the car powered instead by a gasoline engine.
Which gasoline engine? None other than the 6.2-litre V8 that powers the older C6 Corvette ZR1. That’s an engine that the manufacturer claims to be able to extract over 1000PS from!
The Vulcano Titanium is a bit heavy though, weighing in at just uder 1600kg despite its titanium and carbon fibre construction. All that power will come in handy though as it has reported top speed of 354km/h and a sprint to 100 time of 2.8 seconds! More on the car next month.
