BMW is believed to be planning the introduction of an M4 GTS. The model in question will be lightweight and track focused and in its pre-production form, it will be inspired by the M4 MotoGP safety car. The last time when the company has used the GTS moniker was back in 2009, when the M3 GTS was launched, in a limited production of just 150 units.
The BMW M4 GTS is expected to be using a water injection system and this should go on sale next summer. The model in question will be taking its power from a 3.0 liter twin turbo straight six-cylinder engine, which should produce a total output of 467 HP. This is significantly more than what the standard M4 has to offer, 425 HP. The M4 GTS is also going to be lighter than the usual version.
