VW’s Latest Tiguan SUV in Malaysia For RM236,888.00

The new 2012 VW Tiguan has arrived in Malaysia. The Tiguan caters to the small SUV market for Malaysians with class-leading quality, German engineering, durability and reliability, for an affordable price. Volkswagen Group Malaysia managing director Mr Ricky Tay described the Tiguan as a very special SUV, which was equipped with all the right qualities of a larger-sized vehicle.
“It offers a more compact alternative to the Touareg and is perfect for Malaysians of most walks of life. The innovation and technology built into the vehicle is also outstanding, boasting class-leading qualities.
“The Tiguan was first launched in the Malaysian market in 2008. This new Tiguan is further enhanced with Volkswagen’s innovation, design and technology,” he added. The Tiguan is equipped with a 2.0 TSI engine that churns out 210PS through its turbocharged direct petrol motor. This is complemented by the 7-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) that powers the 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system. The engine produces 280Nm of torque and boasts a top speed of 213kph, with the 0-100kph sprint taking only 7.3 seconds. Its TSI engine consumes 8.6 litres/100km on the combined cycle. The Tiguan is equipped with Bi-Xenon headlights with Daytime Running Lights (DRL), headlight washer system, foldable side mirrors that are separately-heated and electrically adjustable, silver anodised roof rails and gorgeous 17-inch ‘New Orleans’ alloy wheels.

The cockpit of the exciting Tiguan with ‘Vienna’ upholstery, a leather-trimmed 3-spoke multi-function steering wheel and gear-knob, and carpet mats add a real touch of luxury. Firstly, the ambience illumination and indirect dashboard lighting offers a warm and soothing feel. For added convenience, the Tiguan comes with the Climatronic air-conditioning system, cruise control, MEDIA-IN multimedia interface for iPod and USB, Park Distance Control (PDC) with ‘Rear Assist’ rear view camera, RCD510 audio with MP3 replay function, a 6-disc CD changer including 8 front and rear loudspeakers. The Tiguan comes equipped with the ISOFIX child anchorage system and has between 470 and 1,510 litres of boot space.
Besides the ABS, EBD and Electronic Stability Program (ESP), the Tiguan comes equipped with the Anti-Slip Regulator (ASR), Comfort Brake Assistant, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold Function, the Electronic Vehicle Immobilisation Device, Engine Drag Torque Control (EDTC), flat tyre indicator and rain sensors. Combined, the Tiguan is one of the safest SUVs in its class.

The Tiguan is available in 9 colours; 1 solid colour of Candy White, 7 metallic shades of Reflex Silver, Wild Cherry Red, Silver Leaf, Toffee Brown, Night Blue, Pepper Grey and Titanium Beige. Another shade is the Deep Black pearl effect. As for the ‘Vienna’ leather, there are two colours to choose from; Titanium Black and Furioso. For more information, visit www.volkswagen.com.my
