Chevrolet has officially unveiled the 2012 Cobalt, which will be available in over 40 countries in Europe, Africa, South America and the Middle East. This final production model has a prominent grille with the Chevy bow tie logo sitting proudly in the middle, vertical taillights and with Persona, Vios dimensions. The exterior styling reminds us of the previous Optra, but the cabin features a new design with a sporty steering wheel, an analog / digital instrument cluster and 18 storage compartments. The high back boot holds a class-leading 563 liters (19.9 cubic feet) of luggage.
Under the hood, a variety of four-cylinder engines will be available with displacements ranging from 1.3- to 1.8-liters. More specifically, for the ASEAN market there is a 1.4-liter petrol engine that develops 97 PS and 126 Nm of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 11.9 seconds. This could be the model coming to the region….but will Naza Quest launch this car here to challenge the popular brands?
