Hype surrounding the Jaguar F-Pace has been building up over these past months, and for pretty good reason. Yes, it’s a Jaguar through and through, but without a doubt, some of the best drivetrain technology will be Land Rover-derived. And that’s a good thing.
The folks at Jaguar Land Rover who work exclusively on Land Rovers have been aching to show what their tech can do for soft-roaders and the F-Pace will give them that opportunity. Land Rover products must function equally well on tar as it does off it, but the F-Pace can be a lot more road-focused.
So when JLR say that the F-Pace will “redefine the crossover segment”, we’d like to believe them. It’s going to be an aluminium platform and feature JLR’s very own Ingenium four-cylinder engines and even a 3-litre V6 capable of 340 bhp and 450 Nm of torque.
