Porsche is still leading the 24 Hours Le Mans race with four hours to go on Sunday. The Porsche No. 19 team, featuring German Formula One driver Nico Hulkenberg, is a lap ahead of the Porsche No. 17 car driven by Timo Bernhard of Germany. Audi’s No. 9 car is also a lap behind Tandy and the two other Audis are close behind.
Returning to Le Mans after a 16-year absence, Porsche missed out on victory last year after its leading car was stuck in the pits because of a mechanical problem as Marcel Fassler, Andre Lotterer, and Benoit Treluye drove Audi to a 5th straight title. Porsche has been the most successful manufacturer at Le Mans over the years with 16 titles however Audi is hot on its heels to win this year and reclaim its seat.
