After 19 years of operating from Section 13, Petaling Jaya, Land Rover (Malaysia)Sdn Bhd has moved its flagship 3S centre to a more premium and modern facility prominently located at Jalan 219 along the busy Federal Highway. The move to the 44,000 square feet facility, which costs some RM2.5 million and sports the latest Land Rover corporate identity, is to cater to the new wave of Land Rover/Range Rover owners and to keep abreast with the changing identity of the marque. This follows the overwhelming response to the multiple-award winning Range Rover Evoque.
The new facility’s strategic location along the Federal Highway will also significantly enhance the Land Rover brand’s visibility and market presence. En Hanif Tan, the Head of Operations for Land Rover, said that the facility will give Land Rover a unique presence in the market and allows the company to showcase who they really are. Reflecting this, a show board has been incorporated into the building design as a feature to market Land Rover’s latest offerings.
The facility is also equipped with a spacious showroom that can accommodate the complete range of Land Rover/Range Rover products, where six models will be on permanent display. This consists of the Defender, the Freelander and the Discovery for the Land Rover range and the Range Rover, the Range Rover Sport and the Evoque for the Range Rover selection. There will also be a clear demarcation of the showroom to reflect the unique Range Rover and Land Rover D.N.A. respectively. New vehicles will be delivered in a new purpose built ‘Vehicle Delivery Bay’.
The opening of the new facility is most timely, with the Evoque generating a new wave of customer and with Land Rover’s move to provide more premium personalised service to its customers. In conjunction with the official opening of the new facility, Land Rover Malaysia has also launched an innovative “Service While You Sleep” service that enables owners to come in after work and leave their vehicles overnight for routine service and collect them the next morning. This reflects the company’s philosophy of coming up with new innovative products and services which are tailored to the needs of the customer.
“We are making it extremely convenient for our customers as their vehicles can be serviced during the evening down-time and ready for use the next day,” said Hazem. For more information on Land Rover Malaysia and its products and services, please visit www.landrovermalaysia.com.my.
