PROTON’s MEGA SHOWCASE @ Bukit Jalil National Stadium’s Car Park

Malaysian race car champions, both past and present, will all make a historic appearance at PROTON’s POWER OF 1 when they gather for the event’s Challenge of Champions on Sunday evening. The POWER OF 1event is organized to showcase PROTON’s milestones, commemorating its technology advancements, engineering achievements and innovations, we thought it would be apt that we bring together these champions who have been part of Malaysia’s motorsports success as well.
The Challenge of Champions has an illustrious list of participants who were eager to share in PROTON’s first ever mega event. The POWER OF 1 is PROTON’s largest outdoor showcase ever organised to date. The event is spread over an area of 35,000sqm at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium’s Car Park A, B and C which has been transformed to accommodate a technology exhibition, sales and promotion area, as well as a mini circuit, inviting visitors to experience the many different facets of PROTON, its progress and development over the last 27 years.
Visitors to the POWER OF 1 will not only be able to see first-hand the technology and capabilities PROTON possesses, but they will also be gaining from making their purchases there as an impressive line-up of PROTON cars, including the Exora Bold, Persona, Saga FLX, Gen2 and Savvy will be on special offer, with discounts from RM500 to RM15,000. Additionally, special editions of Exora, Persona, Saga and Satria Neo are also up for sale, with massive discounts ranging from RM5,500 up to RM15,000, while fans of the popular R3 Satria Neo launched last year will be able to purchase their dream car at RM6,000 off the original price.
PROTON’s upcoming ‘global car’, the P3-21a, is also on offer, with interested buyers having the opportunity to pre-book the car.  Advanced bookings of the new car will put them in the running to win a Lotus F1 Team I-Race experience, an all expenses paid trip to undergo the training session for Formula 1 drivers, culminating with an opportunity to drive a Formula 1 car.
In addition to those offers, an estimated one out of every ten visitors to the POWER OF 1 will stand to win from a list of over 7000 prizes.  Visitors can participate in the ‘SMS and Win’ contest, which requires them to answer a simple question and send it via an SMS short code, giving them a chance to win PROTON Lifestyle merchandise, complimentary tickets to the upcoming Petronas Malaysian Formula One Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit, as well as the grand prizes of three Proton cars and many more. The POWER OF 1 runs from 14 to 18 March 2012 with the Challenge of Champions starting at 5pm on Sunday, 18th March.  Doors open daily from 10am to 10pm, admission is FREE.
