Perodua goes on a Merdeka cum Malaysia Day Campaign Tour

Perodua is getting a head start on the Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day celebrations by having Malaysians write their Merdeka wishes and hopes on an Alza, which will then be shared to the general public via Perodua’s on-the-ground events. A convoy of 2 Myvi and 1 Alza vehicles will tour the country beginning today from Sungai Choh and make its way all over west Malaysia to end its journey on the 12th of August in Kuala Lumpur.
“The tour will take the crew to 11 locations within 5 days and along the way collecting the people’s aspirations of the nation as we move towards becoming a developed nation,” Perodua Managing Director, Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said. He added that this programme, dubbed Kembara Merdeka Perodua 2012, is the first of its kind by Perodua. Aminar said that Perodua hopes that the Alza unit used to collect these wishes will be showcased during the Merdeka Day Celebration at Dataran Merdeka. The Alza unit will then be displayed during on-the-ground promotional activities and finally be displayed at Perodua headquarters in Sungai Choh. “This exercise is our way of recording the hopes of today’s Malaysians in a unified voice and sharing them in our own way, because here at Perodua “You Matter Most”,” Aminar said.
