Honda Crossover, The Rebirth Of The HRV Coming In 2013

Remember the Honda HRV? Well not many of you would and this is why we have the picture here below for your attention (see below please).

This was a Honda that saw only a few parallel imported units trickling into in Malaysia at a time when the 1st generation Honda CRV was selling like fresh bread. Now Honda Japan plans to introduce production ready Civic Crossover by early 2013 which might carry the HRV name plate as a revival of this sexy looking versatile vehicle.

Honda markers are targeting the buyers of the Nissan Qashqai and Audi Q1 in Europe. As yet we do not know whether the model will be available in version with AWD. This crossover will be built on the Euro Civic Hatchback platform with a higher ground clearance. Currently, small SUV models, called also Crossovers are extremely popular in Europe with the older generation and single women. Under the hood model will probably offer the same engine from the new Civic Euro Spec. 1.4-liter i-VTEC with 100 hp, 1.8-liter i-VTEC with 142 hp and 2.2-liter i-DTEC (diesel) 150 hp.

By the end of this year Japanese provide a completely new 1.6 liters diesel, which is also most likely be installed in the future Crossover. At a later stage is expected and hybrid version.
