This coming weekend, from Friday and Saturday (13 and 14 March), the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello will host the second running of the Hankook 12H ITALY-MUGELLO. With an entry of 73 cars, the grid size for the endurance race in Tuscany has doubled compared to last year’s inaugural edition!

The Dutch agency is promoter and organiser of the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook in co-operation with the Dutch National Racing Team (DNRT). Once again, the race for GTs, touring cars and 24H Specials will be split up into two parts: the first four hours of the race will be held on Friday, the remaining eight hours take place on Saturday.

The entry list shows teams and drivers from 24 different countries all over the world, some of them coming from as far as Australia, Hong Kong, India, the United Arab Emirates and the United States of America. The entry includes plenty of variety with a good balance between GTs and touring cars. With BMW, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and Porsche, the A6 class has GT3-spec cars from four different brands on the grid. Entrants include Swiss Porsche team Stadler Motorsport, Scuderia Praha from he Czech Republic with a Ferrari and Mercedes-Benz teams Car Collection Motorsport from Germany and Hofor Racing from Switzerland, all four of them previous race winners in CREVENTIC’s endurance events. With seven cars entered for the race, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 is the best represented machine in the A6 class.

With 16 entries, the Porsche class for Porsche 991 and 997 Cup cars is the biggest class for the race in Mugello. Porsche teams from eight different countries have entered cars to compete in Italy and among the drivers are some well-known Porsche specialists. The SP2 class includes another Porsche Cup car plus the silhouette cars from French team GC Automobile and Australian constructor MARC Cars, as well as the Audi R8, run by Dutch team, Red Camel-Jordans.nl. The SP3 class includes a variety of GT4-spec cars from Aston Martin, BMW, Ginetta and Lotus, plus another GC Automobiles silhouette with a smaller engine than the SP2 version. The A5 touring car class is the field for the battle between three BMWs from three different teams (including Austrian team, Duller Motorsport, winners of the first two races in Dubai and now making a comeback in a CREVENTIC event after an absence of several years) and the French Altran team’s pair of Peugeot 208 GTis.
