Stellantis Regional Parts Hub In Malaysia Makes Progress

Stellantis Strengthens Regional Presence with New Parts Hub in Malaysia

Stellantis, the world’s fourth-largest automaker and a leader in mobility solutions, has reached a significant milestone with the arrival of the first stock delivery at its India & Asia Pacific Regional Parts Hub in Malaysia. This marks the initial phase of a €10 million total shipment, with €8 million worth of stock currently in transit from North America, France, Italy, and China, comprising 35,000 SKUs. The hub, set to be fully operational by the first quarter of 2025, is a key component of Stellantis’ broader strategy to enhance aftersales service and regional supply chain efficiency.

Expanding After-Sales Capabilities in the Region

The Regional Parts Hub will serve all Stellantis brands, including PEUGEOT, Citroën, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, RAM, Leapmotor, and more, supporting operations across 20 countries in the India & Asia Pacific region. The establishment of this hub underscores Stellantis’ commitment to improving aftersales support by reducing vehicle downtime and ensuring timely access to automotive parts for dealers and customers.

This development aligns with Stellantis’ strategy to enhance its footprint in the region. Daniel Gonzalez, Chief Operating Officer, Stellantis ASEAN, previously highlighted the importance of the India & Asia Pacific region as the company’s third growth engine. He stated that the investment in the Regional Parts Hub reflects Stellantis’ long-term commitment to strengthening its presence and contributing to Malaysia’s position as a regional automotive hub.

Strategic Location and Long-Term Commitment

Strategically located in a Free Trade Zone in Malaysia, the Regional Parts Hub will allow Stellantis to improve parts availability, reduce lead times, and enhance overall service efficiency. This move is expected to boost customer satisfaction by ensuring a seamless supply of automotive parts and components.

Olivier Torchet, Head of Parts & Services, Stellantis India & Asia Pacific, emphasized the significance of the hub, stating that its opening marks a major milestone in Stellantis’ customer-centric approach. The facility is designed to support the growing demands of key markets while ensuring the highest level of aftersales support.

Since 2021, Stellantis has been reinforcing its “Built in ASEAN for ASEAN” roadmap. This initiative began with the 100% ownership acquisition of the Stellantis Gurun plant in Kedah, which is being developed as a regional manufacturing hub for both domestic and export markets in ASEAN. Additionally, in March 2024, Stellantis Malaysia was established as the official entity managing marketing, sales, distribution, and after-sales services for all Stellantis brands in the country.

Stellantis STLA Large platform

With the establishment of the Regional Parts Hub in Malaysia, Stellantis continues to enhance its presence in the region, supporting its ambitious growth plans while ensuring superior service delivery to customers and dealers alike.
