2025 BMW 3 Series Gets Major Interior and Tech Updates in Malaysia

The BMW 3 Series got a very minor update for 2025 to improve Malaysian sales.

BMW Malaysia has unveiled updates to its popular 3 Series lineup for 2025, introducing enhanced interior features, improved digital capabilities, and dynamic performance upgrades to the luxury mid-sized sedan. These updates come just a week after BMW Group Malaysia’s 2024 annual sales report. During the report, it was shared that the company sold just over 2,700 units of the BMW 3 Series and just over 2,700 electric vehicles.

The refreshed 3 Series maintains its signature sporty character while incorporating modern design elements tailored for Malaysian drivers. A standout addition is the new M Sport steering wheel, complete with a 12 o’clock strap as standard equipment, emphasizing the vehicle’s performance-oriented nature.

Inside the cabin, BMW has implemented several refinements to elevate the driving experience. New geometrical air vents create a contemporary aesthetic, while the upper instrument panel and door panels feature an updated, finer grain finish. The BMW 330 Li model specifically benefits from new geometrical surface décor trims as standard.

On the technology front, the 2025 3 Series introduces the latest BMW Operating System 8.5, featuring the innovative QuickSelect touch-oriented menu structure. This upgrade optimizes interaction with the BMW Curved Display, making vehicle functions more accessible and user-friendly. The sedan also receives enhanced Video Augmented Reality capabilities for its Parking Assistant system, utilizing advanced camera and ultrasound technology for improved parking precision.

Driving dynamics haven’t been overlooked, with BMW engineers implementing suspension refinements to deliver better control and comfort, particularly on challenging road surfaces. The BMW iDrive Intelligent Personal Assistant also benefits from improved speech recognition capabilities, enhancing the overall user experience.

For buyers seeking fresh styling options, BMW has expanded the colour palette with two new metallic finishes: Fire Red metallic and Arctic Race Blue metallic. These join the existing range of sophisticated colors, including Alpine White, Black Sapphire metallic, M Brooklyn Grey metallic, and M Carbon Black metallic.

These comprehensive updates demonstrate BMW’s commitment to maintaining the 3 Series’ position as a leading choice in Malaysia’s premium mid-sized sedan segment, combining luxury, technology, and driving excellence for discerning customers in 2025.
