Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has just introduced its enhanced Hyundai LM Tucson to cater for wider market of SUV enthusiasts. The new enhancements in the LM Tucson are as follows,
1. The incorporation of the Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) on the latest LM Tucson (except the 2.0 Elegance). The VSM combines the intelligence of the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) and the newly incorporated Motor Driven Power Steering (MDPS) to ensure a much safer drive through slippery and challenging road conditions. The VSM is especially vital in emergency stopping maneuvers. With this feature, drivers are assured of greater vehicle control at all times and conditions.
2.The use of MDPS in place of the conventional hydraulic power assisted steering system is also another important upgrade in the latest LM Tucson. It is lower in maintenance cost as it is without the need to check, change and/or top up the hydraulic power steering fluid. The MDPS, which does not consume any power from the engine coupled with the newly incorporated smart charging system, also improves engine power and fuel efficiency.
3. A switch to deactivate the front passenger airbag in the interest of young occupants in the front seat.
4. The fitting of the Isofix child seat mounting on the rear seat for the convenience of parents with young kids to fit in the child seats.
5. A manually adjustable headlamp beam level enabling better view of the road at night for safer night driving.
6. A set of new front driving lamps and a powerful rear fog lamp (in place of a passive reflector).
7. It also features a newly installed front and rear MS Design skid plates under the bumpers which add on to the sleek and elegant yet sporty design of the vehicle. The enhanced look also compliments the fluidic sculpture design of the Tucson. MS Design, an Austrian-based bodykit designer, also manufactures bodykits for other premium European automotive brands.
Changes to the interior include Nappa leather seats in Premium variants for a more luxurious comfort. With the exception of the Elegance variant, all the latest LM Tucson are fitted with Audio Visual Navigator which has a large screen and advanced touch screen audio/visual systems, GPS and a reverse camera visual display.
The five variants in the new line-up are:
2.0 Elegance 2WD (RM131,888.00)
2.0 Executive Plus 2WD (RM141,888.00)
2.0 Premium 2WD (RM144,888.00)
2.4 Executive Plus 4WD (RM155,888.00)
2.4 Premium 4WD (RM158,888.00)
(OTR price with insurance in W. Malaysia)
