Malaysia’s first national EV, the Proton e.MAS 7 is proving popular
PRO-NET, a subsidiary of the Malaysian automaker Proton, is celebrating a significant achievement as the Proton e.MAS 7, the company’s first electric vehicle (EV), surpasses 2,500 bookings. This milestone highlights the increasing interest among Malaysians in sustainable mobility and indicates strong demand for the Proton e.MAS 7.
As Malaysia’s first national EV, the Proton e.MAS 7 has gained attention for its blend of innovation, practicality, and value. The Proton e.MAS 7 is available in two variants: the Prime and the Premium, equipped with 49.52 kWh and 60.22 kWh battery packs, respectively. With a WLTP range of up to 410 km, the e.MAS 7 offers a dynamic and reliable driving experience.
Moreover, it supports 11 kW AC charging and DC fast charging up to 100 kW. The On-The-Road Price (excluding insurance) for the Proton e.MAS 7 starts at RM109,800 for the Prime variant and RM123,800 for the Premium variant. Both are very desirable and can satisfy most Malaysians’ needs.
To celebrate its launch, PRO-NET is offering a RM4,000 rebate to the first 3,000 customers, reducing the prices to RM105,800 for the Prime and RM119,800 for the Premium variant. The success of the Proton e.MAS 7 can be attributed to its innovative design and local development. Built with the support of Proton’s engineering team, the vehicle was developed with the needs of Malaysian motorists in mind.
In addition to its impressive performance, the e.MAS 7 is also equipped with an integrated EV charging map accessible through the Proton e.MAS App, offering users greater convenience by helping them locate charging stations nationwide.
On top of that, Zhang Qiang, CEO of PRO-NET, emphasized that the Proton e.MAS 7 represents a significant step forward not only for Proton but also for Malaysia’s green automotive future. To further celebrate the launch, PRO-NET is offering the first 3,000 customers an exclusive Launch Power Pack worth up to RM8,000.
This includes a complimentary 7kW home charger, a V2L adaptor, five years of unlimited internet data, a six-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty, an eight-year/160,000 km high-voltage battery warranty, and a special 1.98 percent financing interest rate from Proton Commerce.
