Yinson GreenTech’s drivEV and GoCar makes travelling in JB more accessible
GoCar Malaysia and Yinson GreenTech’s drivEV are expanding their collaboration with the launch of electric vehicle (EV) car-sharing services in Johor Bahru. This initiative marks a significant step toward promoting green mobility, as the Aion Y Plus and Ora Good Cat electric cars are now available for booking at prominent locations throughout Johor Bahru.
The move responds to the increasing demand for sustainable travel options in southern Malaysia, catering to both local residents and Singaporean visitors. The primary goal of this collaboration is to provide zero-emission transportation alternatives, reducing the environmental impact of travel.
Moreover, by offering these EVs for shared use, the partners are helping to make clean, eco-friendly transport more accessible in Johor Bahru. This is particularly important as the region sees a growing demand for sustainable mobility solutions, especially from the many Singaporeans who visit for work or leisure.
To make travel even more seamless, GoCar has teamed up with Handal Indah Sdn Bhd (HISB), a subsidiary of HI Mobility Berhad, to offer easy connections for commuters arriving from Singapore.
On top of that, HISB operates the Electric Causeway Link buses, and passengers can conveniently transition to EVs at key locations such as Toppen Shopping Centre and other prominent bus drop-off points in Johor Bahru. This integrated travel solution ensures that visitors and residents alike can enjoy a smooth and environmentally friendly journey from the moment they arrive in the city.
drivEV, a business of Yinson GreenTech, is a leader in leasing and providing EVs, dedicated to advancing green transportation. The Ora Good Cat can be rented in Johor Bahru starting from RM24.90 per hour or RM199 per day, while the Aion Y Plus is available from RM27.90 per hour or RM279 per day.
