It appears the luxury MPV market in Malaysia is about to be shaken up with the Zeekr 009
Zeekr, a premium electric vehicle (EV) brand, has officially launched its flagship luxury electric MPV, the Zeekr 009, in Malaysia. The first deliveries are scheduled for mid-December. Sentinel Automotive Sdn Bhd, the official franchise holder for the brand in Malaysia, introduced the highly anticipated model, marking the brand’s debut in the region.
The Zeekr 009 is available in two configurations, either a 7-seater priced at RM349,800 or a 6-seater at RM359,800. The luxury MPV comes with a 5-year or 150,000 km vehicle warranty and an 8-year or 160,000 km battery warranty.
Moreover, it offers two years of complimentary connected services, providing 6GB of internet data for access to the Zeekr app, onboard navigation, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates. The first 500 customers will also receive an exclusive launch package, which includes a home charger, portable charger, and solar film for enhanced value.
The first Zeekr showrooms in Malaysia have opened in Petaling Jaya and Sunway City, providing a superior customer experience. The 12,187 sq ft showroom in Petaling Jaya is designed to be a central hub for expansion and customer service. In the first half of 2025, four additional showrooms will open across Selangor, Penang and Johor, with more on the way.

Mohamed Reza bin Abdul Mutalib, Director of Sentinel Automotive Sdn Bhd, commented on the overwhelming interest in the MPV, attributing its success to the vehicle’s outstanding performance, advanced technology, comfort, and design. “The Zeekr 009 sets new standards for luxury MPVs, surpassing even higher-end models in its price segment. This has generated tremendous interest from customers.” he stated.
On top of that, Zeekr aims to redefine modern luxury by blending advanced technology with a human-centric approach. “Zeekr is a global premium brand, and we mean it. From the choice of materials to the equipment levels and overall build quality, our customers can expect an unparalleled experience.” Reza added.
The all-electric Zeekr 009 is one of the most powerful luxury MPVs in the global market. Equipped with a dual electric motor setup, it delivers a combined 450kW of power and 693Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
With a 116kWh battery, the Zeekr 009 offers a WLTP range of up to 582km and can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 30 minutes, ensuring a seamless and efficient driving experience. WIll you be an early adopter?
