Omoda Partners With Universal Pictures’ Wicked, Unveiling Magical Journeys

Sing to the tune of magic with Universal studios with 2 new colours for the Omoda 5 now

Omoda, a brand under the Chery umbrella, has revealed an exciting collaboration with Universal Pictures to celebrate the studio’s highly anticipated cinematic release, Wicked. This partnership marks an enchanting journey into the magical worlds of Oz, bringing together the realms of automotive design and film in an innovative and imaginative way.

Wicked, based on the iconic stage musical, tells the untold story of the witches of Oz, shedding light on their backstories before the events of The Wizard of Oz. Directed by the renowned Jon M. Chu, the film features an all-star cast, including Cynthia Erivo, the Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award-winning artist who also earned an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Elphaba. 

Moreover, Elphaba, a misunderstood young woman with green skin, is yet to discover her true powers, making her journey both intriguing and inspiring. As part of this collaboration, Omoda has unveiled two specially designed car wraps to commemorate the film, the Omoda E5 Green Witch Edition and the Omoda 5 Pink Witch Edition. 

Each vehicle features a unique wrap design, with Elphaba and Glinda, the two iconic witches, prominently showcased. These artful wraps are designed to capture the imagination of viewers and transport them into the magical world of Wicked. 

The distinctive themes of the cars also allow fans to connect with the film on a deeper level, evoking a sense of wonder and excitement for the mystical realm of Oz. With the film set to hit theaters soon, fans will have the opportunity to see these custom-designed Wicked-themed vehicles up close. 

On top of that, the Omoda E5 Green Witch Edition and Omoda 5 Pink Witch Edition will be on display at various locations, offering car enthusiasts and moviegoers a chance to experience their unique aesthetic appeal and celebrate the film’s magic. 

This collaboration between Omoda and Universal Pictures is more than just a promotional effort, it’s a bridge between two creative industries, providing fans with an unforgettable experience that blends automotive design with cinematic fantasy.

In Malaysia, fans of the brand and Wicked can get an exclusive chance to view the Omoda 5 Pink Witch Edition, which will be displayed at TGV Pavilion Bukit Jalil from 28 November to 11 December 2024.
