The Lexus TX has been designed for luxury in the U.S market, global release later?
Lexus has unveiled its first-ever TX, a luxury three-row SUV designed specifically for the North American market, catering to the growing demand for spacious and comfortable vehicles for larger groups. The TX offers ample seating for up to seven passengers and a serene, quiet interior, emphasizing both comfort and luxury.
With a focus on electrification, performance, and advanced technology, the TX is an all-new model that aligns with Lexus’ commitment to meeting the diverse needs of its customers. The TX is built on the GA-K platform, known for its low center of gravity and balanced weight distribution, which enhances both driving performance and comfort.
Moreover, the vehicle features three powertrain options: a 2.4L turbocharged inline-4 engine for the TX 350, a 2.4L turbocharged hybrid for the TX 500h, and a Lexus-first 3.5L V6 plug-in hybrid for the TX 550h+, offering various choices to suit different lifestyles and environmental goals.
The plug-in hybrid version is especially notable for its projected EV range of 53 km, reflecting Lexus’ push toward a carbon-neutral future. Inside, the TX boasts a driver-focused cockpit with a 14-inch touchscreen, a premium 21-speaker sound system, and customizable storage options to enhance comfort and usability.
The cabin also features intuitive controls, including a Digital Latch and an available head-up display, ensuring a smooth driving experience with minimal distraction. The second-row seats can be configured as captain’s chairs or a 60:40 split-folding bench, and the third row is accessible with an easy slide-assist mechanism.
On top of that, the TX also offers ample cargo space, capable of holding up to seven carry-on suitcases with the rear seats down. In terms of design, the TX adopts Lexus’ latest design language, with aerodynamic elements like the unified spindle grille and L-shaped rear light bar that enhance both aesthetics and performance.
It is offered in several grades, including the Premium, Ultra Luxury, Executive, and F SPORT Performance models, with unique wheel sizes and exterior color options for different tastes. Lexus has equipped the TX with an array of safety features, including the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, which offers technologies like Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Lane Tracing Assist to ensure driver and passenger security.
Additionally, advanced parking and traffic assist systems provide further convenience, making the 2024 Lexus TX a luxurious and practical vehicle for modern families. So will this North American only model soon be launched in other markets as well?
