The 18th edition of the Toyota dream car art contest is here and it was spectacular
UMW Toyota Motor (UMWT) is excited to announce the return of the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest (DCAC) for its 18th edition, offering children across Malaysia a unique platform to unleash their creativity and imagine the future of mobility.
This annual competition invites young participants to design vehicles that can contribute to a better tomorrow, whether it’s an eco-friendly car, a vehicle that fosters unity, or an entirely new form of transportation. Through this contest, Toyota encourages children to dream big and think beyond the conventional, sparking their imagination to envision innovative solutions.
Moreover, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is part of a global initiative organised by Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) across various countries, aiming to inspire children to express their creativity and envision the future of mobility.
The contest strengthens connections between Toyota distributors and their local communities, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to engaging with the next generation. Datuk Ravindran K., President of UMW Toyota Motor, emphasised the significance of the contest in his speech during the event as well.
The DCAC also serves as a platform for the next generation of thinkers, innovators, and artists to showcase their ideas. It also enables UMW Toyota Motor to deepen its engagement with local communities, reinforcing the company’s focus on innovation, education, and social responsibility.
On top of that, this year’s contest theme is “Your Dream Car,” and it runs from now until 31 January 2025. The competition is open to children in three age groups, specifically Group 1 for ages 7 years old and under, Group 2 for ages 8 to 11 years old and Group 3 for kids aged 12 to 15 years old.
Each group will have Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners, along with two consolation prizes. The top three winners from each age group will represent Malaysia in the global contest, with the final winners to be announced in August 2025 by Toyota Motor Corporation. Last year, the contest attracted an impressive 710,000 submissions from 90 countries.
This year, participants can submit hand-drawn or digital artwork, offering them the freedom to use various materials and techniques. Submissions should be in A3 format or provided as high-resolution JPG or PNG digital files. Keep on being creative Malaysia, because with Toyota, it may just pay you to be so.
