0New Porsche 911 Carrera T Coupé And Cabriolet Models Just Dropped (992.2)
The lightweight Porsche 911 Carrera T models of the 992.2 generation are now available for order.
The Porsche 911 Carrera T, or ‘Touring’ has stood out as the purists’ model thanks to its focus on lower weight and the lack of an automatic gearbox option. For the facelifted 992 generation model, the Porsche 911 Carrera T now comes with a cabriolet bodystyle option, marrying the driver-focused philosophy with a little fun in the sun. We think it’s a brilliant combination.
Positioned strategically between the Carrera and Carrera S models, the coupé weighs just 1,478 kilograms when equipped with full bucket seats—more than 40 kg lighter than the standard 911 Carrera. Under the hood, the Carrera T houses a 3.0-litre six-cylinder twin-turbo boxer engine producing 394 PS and 450 Nm of torque.
Power is delivered exclusively through a six-speed manual transmission to the rear wheels, featuring an auto-blip function for smoother downshifts. This powertrain enables the Carrera T coupe to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, with the cabriolet following at 4.7 seconds. Top speeds are equally impressive at 295 km/h for the coupe and 293 km/h for the cabriolet.
The chassis receives special attention with model-specific tuning. Standard equipment includes rear-axle steering with a more direct steering ratio on the front axle, enhancing both handling response and stability.
The PASM adaptive sports suspension, lowered by 10mm, features unique sporty tuning for the T model. The car rides on staggered 20/21-inch Carrera S light alloy wheels, wrapped in 245/35 ZR20 front and 305/30 ZR21 rear tires. Braking power comes from an upgraded system featuring 350mm discs all around with six-piston fixed calipers at the front.
Visually, the Carrera T distinguishes itself with Vanadium Grey Metallic accents on the rear model designation, exterior mirror trim, and wheels. The model features unique shift pattern stickers on the rear windows and an aerodynamically optimized spoiler lip borrowed from the 911 Carrera GTS. Porsche offers an extensive color palette including special Legends scheme colors like Shade Green Metallic and Crayon, plus additional options through their Paint to Sample programs.
Inside, the Carrera T embraces a purposeful design with black four-way electrically adjustable sports seats featuring Sport-Tex centers and exclusive tartan fabric patterns. The manual transmission is topped with an open-pore walnut laminated wood gear knob, while an ‘MT’ badge adorns the area in front of the gear lever. Standard equipment includes a leather-wrapped heated GT sports steering wheel with a mode switch and the Sport Chrono Package with Track Precision App.
For those seeking additional customization, Porsche offers Carrera T design packages featuring Gentian Blue accents throughout the exterior and interior, including contrast stitching, seat stripes, and decorative elements. Pricing starts at 141,700 euros for the coupe and 155,800 euros for the cabriolet, including VAT and country-specific equipment.
